The Frame of Government
Pennsylvania was a proprietary colony and William Penn wrote the Frame of Government. Penn believed that the government should have the right amount power so they could not abuse it. In his new form of government the people had majority of the power with an elected assembly and a governor to lead them. The Frame of Government gave the people freedom to worship however they wanted and included amendments in case it needed to be changed.

Economy
Pennsylvania had a great economy, exporting a large amount of agricultural products and natural resources. They were a big food producing region that included: wheat, corn, rye, barley and livestock. However, they were also able to manufacture iron ore products such as: plows, tools, kettles, locks, nails, and large blocks of iron. Other industries included lumber, textiles, furs, and shipbuilding.
